  • University of British Columbia - Okanagan Campus

Description

The International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning invites you to join its 2022 annual conference, which will be hosted in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, from November 2 to 5, 2022. International scholars and educators will come together to share recent work and to discuss how our collective efforts will elevate the future of higher education. The conference will feature pre-conference collaborative writing groups, pre-conference workshops facilitated by leading scholars in the field, distinguished international plenary speakers, panel discussions, individual paper and poster presentations, concurrent workshops, and ISSOTL’s signature Conference Commons for informal idea-sharing and networking.

The theme of this conference is “At the Intersections of SoTL: Transfer and Transformation, Diversity and Inclusion.” Given this theme, we invite scholars to share work related but not restricted to the following:

  • The impact of SoTL on transforming teaching and curricular practices, and student learning
  • Using diverse (cultural, disciplinary) ways of knowing to shape our SoTL approaches and practices
  • The way linguistic and epistemic justice inform scholarly communication and inquiry
  • The inclusion of campus (including student, staff and faculty) and community partners within SoTL projects
  • Furthering our understanding of teaching, learning, and SoTL at the course, program, institutional, or cross-institutional levels
